I figured that she caught a very fast glimpse of the truck driver an instant before the collision. What with the concussion that she got immediately afterwards, she didn't have any conscious memory of it but it was still lurking in there somewhere, to come out when she was sketching and to trigger an *almost*-recognition when Corvis showed up at the bar.

What I *think* happened was that Jae Kim (Will Yun Lee) didn't ignore it; he just didn't want his boss Bledsoe (Miguel Ferrer) to know about it right away. He investigated himself and when he discovered that Corvis was indeed still alive, then he did tell his boss.

That was stupid, yes -- I gather that he's still a little messed up in the head on the topic of Sarah Corvis -- but not as stupid as ignoring it entirely.
