  Aside: use of that phrase was one of the early indicators in another group that Shawn Wilson (of the "Irag" healthcare flamewar) was in fact a lying sack of shit, denying his claims to be a "trained scientist". No-one with a passing familiarity of science would use that phrase as a perjorative. No-one.
