Spoiler space follows: That's the ingredient list in the maple-like syrup at the hotel's breakfast buffet this morning. Go figure!! Phooey, hooey, and ptooey. There were also some "omelet-like" egg patties, folded in half, that were pretty awful to even contemplate. The sausage, however, was juicy and hot. Most of the sausage I've ever encountered in a place like this has been old and shriveled.
I'm killing time -- we'll leave here in half an hour for the Air France
desk at IAD to pick out seats. I can't get through their online system
to do it, dammit. Then we'll hang out until 5:00 p.m. before departing.
