Now that I've thought about it a bit more, the pointy end should have tines, like a little fork. Dang, that could be a useful edible food device.

Maybe there should be barbs on the tines, so they could more effectively be used
for spearing and holding food.

Oh, and there should be a corresponding
pretzel spoon, for items that can't be
stabbed. Like Jell-o, pudding, and sauces.

If a suitable hinge could be developed,
there could be pretzel tongs, but I believe an edible hinge pin would be problematic, due to the concentration of stress. It
would have to be really hard, like a Pez. More practical would be a flexible joint, perhaps composed of Gummy Bear alloy,
